Well, that's a really interesting question...
If one thing is certain, it's that the REL Alumni Scholarship is changing. We just started it this year, so we're really just finding our balance.
The inspiration, though, is simple:
Lee Alumni read college application essays (written by Lee seniors), choose their favorite(s), and award a small but considerable scholarship (about $500).
Most of the money has come from Lee Alumni themselves (shoutout to Koreena, Matt, Ryan, BVF, Sarah and Jenn), but Varun and I are discovering that a lot of other people want to get involved (shoutout to Mrs Bronston and Mr Nelson - and Mrs McKinley and Mrs Bohn).
During the next year or so, we'll be figuring out where to go from here ...and we're definitely open to suggestions.
And if you have a suggestion that will help increase the dialogue between Lee graduates/alumni, then I would especially love to listen to your suggestion.
